I was born on February 7, 1985 to a single mother in a small town in East Texas called Marshall. I am the youngest of three daughters but I grew up like an only child due to a large age difference between my sisters and myself. I always wanted to be an artist and I always wanted to escape my hometown and live in New York.

I earned a BFA in Drawing & Painting from The University of North Texas and a MFA in Writing from The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago – neither of which was worth it.

In 2008, I won a screenwriting competition and got flown out to LA where I stayed in The Best Western Plus Hollywood Hills Hotel where I drank so many Monster energy drinks and had tuna melts every day at the 101 Coffee Shop – this experience far exceeded aforementioned formal education.

I am a writer, an artist, and a spiritual worker.

I have lived in Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Santander, and New York. I have my sights set on Montreal next, but who knows which way the wind will blow?

I’m just here to help and I accept that it’s not always gonna be appreciated.
